Category: book Nook
Written by J. K. Rowling of course.
I finally got my copy! I got the collector's edition! Anyone else get it? What do you think? I love it!
I heard the book is supposed to be written in Braille by the National Braille Press. Anyone know when they're going to be selling it?
I now have this book in Braille. I enjoyed reading it.
u can now download it from bookshare as well I just saw it yesterday and am going ot download it sometime. :)
Hi, how is the story? Is it good?
it's really really really really interesting i just read it wow wow cool
is it in audio?
yeah, i have it in audio. its pretty good. its not really long at all; i read it in a few hours. i enjoyed it though.
I hope I could read it also.
I don't have a bookshare account so I cannot download it.
Who narrates it on audio?
eric Sandvold narrates it if you get it from NLS. it's terrible. wonder if there's one on CD somewhere.
I like Eric Sandvold, but I wasn't impressed with his narration of the Harry Potter books. I was much more impressed with Jim Dale. I don't know about Steven Fry (SP?) since the only book I've heard him narrate was The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But I know he has narrated other versions of the HP books.
Steven Fry is pretty awful. Loved the book over all though.
I have it in audio narated by some woman if anyone wants it?
It didn't say who narrated it!
Stephen Fry is pretty good at narating the harry Potter books, so I'd have thought they'd ask him to do the Tales Of Beedle The Bard as well. I think he's better than Jim Dale anyway. But yes, the version I heard was narated by a woman.
I love Steven Fry's narration of Harry Potter. Jim Dale doesn't even come close. As for Beedle The Bard, I though that was an English classic. what does J.K> rouling have to do with it? Does anyone know where I can find a text of the original?
I think she wrote that book.
Hell if I know whether people say Beedle the Bard existed. And if there really is a quote "Muggle" Beedle the Bard, then she did write the "magical" one.
I thought Jim Dale was awesome; haven't heard anyone else.
I thought the only beetle the Bard was her harry potter one too. I thought rowling herself reads the audio version, but maybe I'm dreaming that.
As for the Jim Dale vs. Steven Fri debate, I respect both very much. but Fri has the most awesome Voldimort voice ever. It's ice cold. jim dale has a nicer voice maybe, but I do prefer Fri. and I'm American. After the first two books, when he learns how to pronounce all the names lol, he's ok.
I read the braille version of the Tales of Beedle the Bard for work and thoroughly enjoyed all of the stories. J. K. Rowling is very talented.
yeah, Jim Dale is good, but I totally know what you mean, snap instead of snape in Book one? I also noticed he pronounced Hermione and Voldemort differently after book 4.
well, I got bored by the book I stopped reading after so many but I specifically went to read the three brothers or whatever that death story is called. I am planning to use her text for a fanfic though, for story telling reasons, so yeah. It's going to really cute, I was going to have Remus read it to Harry but I might use sirius for my scene instead. have him add in extra comments. *giggles* too cute, sirius reading to a 5 years old Harry?
